ADS Western Celebrates 25 years of Social Transformation
ADS Western 25th Anniversary Celebrations main event was held on 9th June, 2022 in Bukhungu Stadium, Kakamega County. The event was graced by The Most Rev. Dr. Jackson Ole Sapit who paid a courtesy visit to the County Commissioner of Kakamega Mr. John Ondengo, where they had a small briefing on matters of peace and development. During the briefing, the two emphasized on the importance of peace and its impact on development. They then officially flagged off the Peace Walk Campaign from the County Commissioner’s office which was attended by the Peace Ambassadors Kenya who were starting off their peace walk campaign from Kakamega to Nairobi with their main objective being preaching and promoting peace before, during and even after the August General Elections.
During the celebrations at Bukhungu Stadium, in his speech, Dr. Ole Sapit urged Kenyans to remain united and promote peace. He also thanked ADS Western for the work they have done in Western Region and lauded the organization for its efforts to impact lives through Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience, Food and Nutrition Security, Advocacy and Governance and Health Care and Social Protection. He also acknowledged all the partners who have played critical roles in all ADS Regions operations and urged them to keep working closely with the organizations’ to continue impacting community lives.
ADS Western 25th Anniversary Celebrations will go down in the history books of Anglican Development Services as being a first of its kind. We would like to sincerely thank our esteemed partners and other stakeholders for making this event a success.
