Kakamega Sweet Potato Cooperative officially receives its Certificate of Registration.
We are thrilled to announce that the Kakamega Sweet Potato Cooperative has been granted its official certificate of registration! This is a significant milestone for our cooperative and a testament to ADSW commitment to excellence in all aspects of our operations of our beneficiaries.
The Cooperative received the certificate from the esteemed team at ADSW, alongside the Christian Aid ICT UK team, led by the incredible Mr Chris, Christian Aid Kenya Madam Elizabeth, and Mr Miltone. Their unwavering support has been instrumental in the cooperative journey towards achieving this remarkable feat.
As the cooperative continue to strive towards enhancing their operations and ensuring sweet potatoes farmers receive the best possible support, we are excited to share that we’ve partnered with Christian Aid in the digitization of the cooperative activities. With the establishment of an e-commerce platform, our farmers will have access to a wider market, and be able to buy and sell sweet potatoes with ease. They will also be able to monitor their activities within the cooperative, thus ensuring greater efficiency and transparency.
Orange-fleshed sweet potatoes are packed with nutrition and offer several benefits for your health. They are an excellent source of vitamin A, which supports eye health and boosts the immune system. They also provide fiber, potassium, and other vitamins and minerals that support overall health and wellbeing. Additionally, the antioxidants in sweet potatoes can help reduce inflammation and lower the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. Incorporating sweet potatoes into your diet can be a delicious way to promote a healthier lifestyle.
We look forward to this new chapter in the cooperative growth and development, and grateful for the continued support of our partners and stakeholders. Together, we are forging a brighter future for Sweet potato farming in Kenya.
