The Sustainable Food Systems Project (SUSTFARM+)
Goal
The food and nutrition security in Kakamega, Siaya and Bungoma counties is improved through the sustainable strengthening of the food system

Objective
Smallholder farmers and agro-dealers apply sustainable farming methods and sustainable methods for the processing and marketing of nutritious agricultural products and feed themselves and their families in a more balanced way with the help of their own production.
Promotion and adoption of sustainable forest management ecosystem across the landscape of Kakamega rainforest

Goal
To enhance environmental sustainability, ecosystem resilience, and socio-economic wellbeing of communities within the Kakamega Rainforest ecosystem through sustainable land and forest management.
To contribute to food security and livelihood improvement of smallholder farmers through sustainable land and forest management in Western Kenya.
